First Day Bento

The twins start daycare tomorrow, a special occasion, indeed. This is their first packed lunch and my first Bento Boxes.

The fancy details are strawberries cut like hearts over a bed of raisins, bunny crackers hopping along in a green bean patch, slices of cheese aside roast beef, and cut grape tomatoes. Click on the picture for a bigger image.

I don't know if I am doing it right, but the meal is balanced, healthy, and definitely made with love.

Thanks to the Bento Love blog for inspiration.

so, I had to look up "bento"... that is soooooo cute!!! And it's even more special knowing that Mom made it for the girls' first day of daycare! it makes the hearts even sweeter. That is just the cutest thing I've ever seen in lunches!! (and the bento love link was really cool)

These Bentos are so cute! I think I may have to try it sometime.

They enjoyed the meal greatly. Kayla basically cleaned her plate while Rylie made a very effective dent, both impressive accomplishments considering the super-stimulation of the morning.

However, I have been informed they don't approve of raisins. (Choking hazard).

Go figure.

wow!

I can tell you that the twins lunches will probably be the envy of the room :) The teachers themselves will salivate!
